Program Expectations & Participation Requirements

The Functional Yoga Therapy™ Advanced Assessment & Treatment Planning Program is taught and held to the standards of a high-level, college-style professional training. This course is designed to support deepened learning, critical thinking, integration, and practical application of the material.

Students accepted into the program are expected to:

  • Engage thoughtfully and professionally with all course content
  • Complete assignments thoroughly and by all listed deadlines
  • Submit work that reflects care, professionalism, thoughtful integration, and attention to detail
  • Participate fully in mentorship, discussions, and all mandatory live training sessions
  • Arrive prepared and ready to actively engage in the learning process
  • Communicate professionally with mentors, faculty, and fellow students throughout the duration of the program

As this is an advanced professional training, students are expected to approach written assignments, case studies, mentorship submissions, communication, and participation with the same level of professionalism and quality to which the course itself is held.

Please note: Successful completion of this training requires consistent participation, timely submission of preparatory work, attendance at all required live components, and demonstration of thoughtful integration and application of course material.

Professional Conduct, Safey & Training Readiness

The Functional Yoga Therapy™ Advanced Assessment & Treatment Planning Program is committed to maintaining a professional, safe, collaborative, and supportive learning environment for students, faculty, mentors, and volunteer clients.

  • Thoughtful participation and engagement with course material
  • Timely completion of all required preparatory work and assignments
  • Readiness for participation in the live training portion of the program
  • Professional communication with mentors, faculty, fellow students, and volunteer clients

The program reserves the right to postpone, pause, defer, or discontinue a student’s participation in the training if concerns arise regarding:

  • Professional conduct or behavior

  • Failure to complete required preparatory work or demonstrate readiness for live training participation
  • Inability to safely or appropriately participate in the training environment
  • Illness or other circumstances that may compromise the safety or well-being of fellow students, faculty, mentors, or volunteer clients during live training

In rare circumstances, students may be asked to postpone participation in the live training portion of the program or discontinue participation for the current training cycle if the program determines that additional preparation, professionalism, safety considerations, or readiness are needed.

Please Note:
These situations are uncommon and are approached thoughtfully and on an individual basis. When appropriate, the FYT team will work collaboratively with the student to determine next steps, which may include postponement into a future training cycle, additional preparation, or other recommendations.

Tuition refunds will not be provided in cases where a student is asked to postpone or discontinue participation due to unmet program expectations, lack of readiness, safety concerns, or professional conduct concerns. When appropriate, students may be eligible for postponement, deferral, or reinstatement into a future cohort in accordance with the Program Postponement, Leave of Absence & Reinstatement Policy.
