Functional Yoga Therapy™ School of Advanced Assessment and Therapeutic Techniques Scholarship Program

Functional Yoga Therapy™ (FYT) strives to be inclusive in not only its student enrolment, but also the way teachings are disseminated and evaluated.

This scholarship is not based solely on financial need. Rather it is an invitation and incentive to those students who desire to offer yoga therapeutics to people in need and underserved populations.

Functional Yoga Therapy™ is based on a vision that seeks to honour ancient yoga techniques while integrating modern wisdom to facilitate a person’s healing. Its greatest goal is to guide each person to their own deeper awareness and understanding along a continuum of wellness.

Functional Yoga Therapy™ reasons a focused vision combined with passion effects true change. FYT is granting this scholarship to those who combine a focused vision with a genuine passion for the application of yoga therapeutics to the alleviation of human suffering.

No FYT scholarship is ever given for the full amount of the course. The Functional Yoga Therapy™ Advanced Assessment Techniques scholarship is a $500 discount from the full tuition amount. Please note: if you receive a scholarship from Functional Yoga Therapy™ it is expected that you understand the full scope of the program as well as the dates and the amount of time you will need to devote to the study and mastery of these teachings.

Once a scholarship has been granted it cannot be transferred to someone else or applied to other future trainings. You will be expected to pay the standard $450 deposit to reserve a place in the training for which you are applying.

4. Have you ever worked with underserved or marginalized populations? If so, please tell us a little bit about this work. NOTE: Please include here any work you have done related to social justice and underserved populations.*
5. What life experiences would you point to that uniquely position you to contribute in an especially meaningful and perhaps surprising way to the rapidly growing Yoga Therapy profession?*
6. We take into consideration individual financial need in an effort to responsibly distribute funds and to make it feasible for a wide variety of applicants to attend the training. Although this is not required, it would be helpful if you described any financial challenges or limitations you are facing that would be eased by this scholarship.*
