| 2. Join Private FYT Facebook Group | Whenever – This is your space to meet others in past and current cohorts and ask questions and share ideas. Maria, Blair and other Mentors/Faculty also have access. |
| 3. Introduction Section is available to read and sign waivers | 10/13/2025 – Must be completed by October 31. Access learning system on the home page of MariaAlive.com – upper right corner “Functional Yoga Therapy Advanced Training – Enter Here“. |
| 4. FYT learning package arrives in mail | Around October 10. Contains your manual, learning materials and some goodies. |
| 5. Welcome Zoom Meeting | Sunday February 22, 2026 @ 12pm Tucson Time – Introduction to our team and time to ask questions about coursework. 1hr meeting is not mandatory and will be recorded. |
| 6. Meet your Assigned Mentor by phone or zoom | Between October 20-31, 2025. Your mentor will contact you via email to schedule a 15 minute conversation to get to know each other and plan how to work together. Schedule a time for your final exam with your chosen client: to be done and handed in between March 9-27, 2026. |
| 7. Preparatory Work Section I is available to begin learning | 11/1/2025 – Must be completed by November 30, 2025. NOTE: Lessons #3 and #4 require an intake and postural assessment be sent to your mentor. |
| 8. Preparatory Work Section II is available to begin learning | 12/1/2025 – Must be completed by January 4, 2026. |
| 9. Preparatory Work Section III is available to begin learning | January 5, 2026 – Must be completed by February 7, 2026 |
| 10. Live Virtual Workshop four days of working together. | February 26 thru March 6, 2026. Syllabus will be posted separately. |
| 10. Final Exam – 4-Part Assessment & Therapeutic Protocol development with client of your choice | March 9 – March 27, 2026 – Final case study report to be completed and handed in to your mentor. NOTE: Make sure you schedule with your chosen client and mentor at least 5 days before this due date to accomplish this Final Exam. |
| 11. Part 1 Final Exam: Complete an Intake with your client | Done on your own without your mentor present. Can be done virtually or in-person. Include Body Scan. Send short synopsis to mentor. |
| 12. Part 2 Final Exam: Complete Assessment as per guidelines given in FYT course | To be done with your mentor present virtually. Schedule one hour of time to accomplish this. Afterwards, connect with your mentor to discuss findings and your ideas for therapeutic protocol. Session with mentor must be scheduled before February 26, 2026 . |
| 13. Part 3 Final Exam: Meet with your chosen client to give plan of action and teach it | To be done without your mentor present. Can be done virtually or in-person (to be done after your mentor approves your Plan of Action). |
| 14. Part 4: Prepare a synopsis of your findings and the protocol chosen | Submit completed case study to your mentor. FINAL DUE DATE: 3/30/26 |
