FYT: Advanced Assessment Techniques 3-26

$750Utilizing the techniques of ancient yoga practices, modern Structural Yoga Therapy techniques, Integrative Therapeutic yoga models and Ayurvedic yoga concepts, this program delves deeply into hands-on assessment tools and their practical treatment applications. Using the Panchamayakosha model of Yoga Therapy, the human body will be studied as a sacred temple with all of its myriad complexities within assessment and individualized therapeutic application.
Exploring advanced anatomy & kinesiology participants will have a more thorough understanding of specific symptomatic presenting issues, while maintaining the greater focus of the client as a fully integrative whole human being. Students will both experience and facilitate all assessment techniques taught. An expansive workbook is included with all assessment techniques and treatment planning.
Through hands-on teaching, Maria guides students in advanced postural assessment, range of motion, muscle strength & flexibility testing, and practical Ayurvedic concepts related to the assessment and treatment process. Participants learn correct use of specific tools and the application of advanced skills including goniometer, scoliometer, specialized balls for release, somatics, sound healing, Marma Point concepts. In addition to use of physical tools and practices the students learn methods to better understand a client’s emotional anatomy, as well as training in sensitivity and awareness.
NOTE: For those students requiring an additional 10 hours (i.e. Integrative Yoga Therapy certification) there will be a NEW webinars offered in 2015. This is designed for advanced studies, popular therapeutic interest, case studies and ease of learning.
